Lone Star Quilt
One of the most recognized of all quilt patterns, the Lone
Star made the old fashioned way was difficult because of the bias-cut diamonds.
Now you can make it without measuring any angles or using templates. You bring
your own fabric. The kit includes the fusible backing and directions. (If
additional time is needed to finish the quilt, sewing time will be 2 hours for
$5 at a later scheduled date, or you may finish it at home.) This is a six hour
class for students with some previous machine sewing and rotary cutting
experience. Ages 12 and older.

Irish Chain Quilt
Want more of a challenge? The Irish chain quilt is for you.
It looks impossible with its 1 inch squares; however, it is all done with strip
piecing. This is an intermediate pattern, but can be tackled by a beginner who
is not afraid of “nesting seams”. You may bring your own fabric or purchase the
kit. It includes fabric for the top. Batting and backing fabric are available at
an additional cost. This is a seven hour class for students with some previous
machine sewing and rotary cutting experience. (If additional time is needed to
finish the quilt, sewing time will be 2 hours for $5 on another date.) Ages 12
and older.

Drag-A-Fuzzy Rag Quilt or Easy Rag Quilt
Two different classes for two very fun and easy quilts
using the quilt-as-you-go technique. Flannel is used to build this cute quilt
that can be a baby quilt, a wall hanging, or a throw. Students will learn the
basics of rag quilt piecing! Rotary cutting will be introduced. Ages 12 and
older. Previous sewing experience required. 7 hour class (bring a sack lunch).
(If additional time is needed to finish the quilt, sewing time will be 2 hours
for $5 on another date.)

EASY BREEZY QUILT
If you have
always wanted to learn to quilt, this is a great beginner's pattern. You will
learn to rotary cut and machine piece the quilt top. Class time will not allow
quilting to be done, but you can come back during the Open Sewing time on
Tuesdays nights to finish your quilts with a reservation. This is a 6 hour class
for ages 12 and older. (If additional time is needed to finish the quilt top,
sewing time will be 2 hours for $5 on another date.)

HEIRLOOM BABY BONNET
Working with fine
batiste fabric, elegant cotton laces, and satin ribbons, students will learn to
create this darling baby bonnet. French sewing by machine techniques will be
taught that include lace insertion and pintucks. It is so much fun and the
bonnet makes a wonderful baby shower gift that will be admired by all. This is a
three hour class for students with some previous machine sewing experience.
Limit four per class ages 12 and older.

Baby Quilt Class – Part I
If you are looking for a mother/daughter class, this is it!
Mom makes a baby quilt or a small throw quilt and daughter makes a doll quilt.
If the daughter is older, both can make the throw quilt. Students will learn how
to use a rotary cutter and how to piece the top. It is a three week, two hours
per week class. Ages 12 and older. Prerequisite: some previous sewing experience
necessary since the class time will not allow for basic sewing instruction.
Baby Quilt Class – Part II
Learn how to sandwich the baby quilt top with the batting
and the backing. Next step includes learning how to machine quilt it and add the
binding. This is also a three week, two hours per week class. (If additional
time is needed to finish the quilt, sewing time will be 2 hours for $5 on
another date)
